Love

"I will always remember you, and you will remember me, just as we will remember the evening, the rain on the windows, and all the things we’ll always have because we cannot possess them.”
― Paulo Coelho, Brida

“People give flowers as present because flowers contain true meaning of love. Anyone who tries to posses a flower will have to watch its beauty fading. But if you simply look at a flower in the field, you'll keep it forever.
― Paulo CoelhoBrida

Such beautiful lines !  It's truly said you can never posses the most beautiful things in life like: nature, true love, some one's feelings for you. And the moment you try to posses them they go away ! Just like holding the running water in your hand.  If you attempt to close your fingers around it, it will spill through the first crack it finds in the fist.  As long as you keep your hand caressingly open and allow it to remain there, it will always be there. The nature of water is free flowing and the moment we capture it looses its intensity, liveliness and vividness, so are the people and the relations with them in our lives. Just like when you want to read book you hold it close in your hands yet maintain a required distance with it to make it legible. Similarly to understand the true self of a man you need to love him/her yet let them be free to be themselves.
In true love you just love the person for what they are, you need not posses them but they still stay with you like  fragrance of a flower, you can't posses the smell but you just remember it and love it. We have not seen God, we do not posses him yet we love him and have him in our hearts. True love is about connecting souls and not the body.  All you need is compassion in your heart, to feel the pain others have and spread the joy in the their hearts.
